Women In Music Festival will be kicking off our dance party series starting with the Gold Party in partnership with HeyMa, on Friday April, 7, 2017 from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.. The Gold Party will be held at an undisclosed location in Downtown Oakland so we encourage you to RSVP. The ladies on the tables will be spinning classic Funk to Contemporary Hip-Hop, and R&B, accompanied by performances from Oakland rapper Stoni and singer-flutist AprilFoolChild.

Yazzy Yazz
Yazzy Yazz moved from Texas and adapted the Bay Area lifestyle almost instantly. Inspired by watching her dad practice, Yazz began her own DJ career three years ago. From small events to recently landing a full time gig at Club Ovation in Suisun, California, Yazz has been making noise on the Bay Area music scene. Yazz spins many genres from hip-hop, Reggae to house. Her goal is to continue spreading positive vibes through her music and inspiring other women like her do anything they put their minds to.

Stoni
Born and raised in Oakland CA, rapper, Stoni is gearing up to release her debut project. After moving back from Los Angeles early last year Stoni linked up with producer Wax Roof and got to work on a new sound. Influenced by a variety of different artist like Tupac, Da Brat, Too Short , Erykah Badu and countless old school soul artists, Stoni brings an honest yet melodic feel to her music.
Fun Fact about Stoni: She smoked a blunt with Snoop Dogg at Polow Da Don's house.

climaxXx, 25, is a young Palestinian music curating goddess from the East Bay. Beginning in radio as an intern to front desk reception at 106.1 KMEL almost 6 years ago, climaxXx has been in the music game ever since. You can catch her spinning alternative Hip-Hop and R&B with heavy production influences from Missy Elliot, Timberland, and Brian Michael Cox. She is currently resides in LA, honing in on her craft and expanding her brand.

Drea Faux Real
Learning to have an appreciation for music at a young age really helped pave Drea Faux Real's passions. Hailing from the Bay Area, Drea, 24, has played at many venues on the West Coast. Drea Faux Real is the founder of Heyma.co, DJ'd festivals, and has been making music since a young age. While she enjoys DJing and making music, Drea also has an eye for anything creative. As a Design graduate, currently Drea focuses her time on creative projects, related to art, fashion, music, and culture.
Fun Fact about Drea: 80% of the time I'm listening to anything R&B.

Red Corvette
Red Corvette, born Carmena Woodward, is a DJ, Event Curator, and Visionary from San Francisco. As an intern for 106 KMEL, she always longed for a successful career in music but fell into her niche after she bought her first controller in January 2012. With just a few years in, Red is currently Rayana Jay's official DJ, event experience curator for HellaJawns, and Co-Founder of Women In Music. Red believes her purpose is to promote womxn inclusion throughout the music industry. Skillfully spinning ambiguous Bay Area slaps with current music, alongside a genre-intermix of hip hop, experimental trap, soul, electronic and R&B, Red’s varied musical taste, incredible fashion steez, and energy is highly favored by her creative friends and fans.
Fun Fact about Red Corvette: April 7th is Red's birthday, which also happens to be the date of the Gold Party.
