Marketing Intern - Email Marketing, Digital Marketing, Partnerships

3 months + festival week (January to April) | 6-8 hours per week

*Location: Must be in the Bay Area

  • Works directly with Director of Marketing on email marketing campaigns, website updates and other digital marketing initiatives

  • Partnership/sponsorship research

  • Community partnership coordination

    Requirements: Proficient in Mailchimp, familiar with LinkedIn

    Preferences: writing experience preferred, outreach experience preferred

Marketing Intern - Design

*Location: Must be in the Bay Area

  • Graphic & promo creation for 2019 Women Sound Off Festival (including but not limited to influencer graphics, festival slogan graphics & promo graphics)

  • Branding (copy & design)

    Requirements: Knowledge and understanding of art and design principles, proficient in Adobe Photoshop (Illustrator a plus)

    Preferences: Background in marketing or branding, original copy/slogan creation

Social Media Intern - Design

3 months + festival week (January to April) | 6-8 hours per week

*Location: Must be in the Bay Area

  • On-brand graphic creation for WSO social media accounts (primarily Instagram) and website blog content

  • Branding (copy & design) for general visual content (non-festival)

    Requirements: Knowledge and understanding of art and design principles, proficient in Adobe Photoshop (Illustrator a plus)

    Preferences: Writing experience, original copy/slogan creation

Social Media Intern - Instagram

3 months + festival week (January to April) | 3-6 hours per week

*Location: Must be in the Bay Area

  • Strategize ways to actively and creatively engage followers via IG grid and stories to increase following and brand awareness

  • Source and repurpose on-brand content & actively post throughout the week

  • Write fun and engaging copy to reflect WSO’s broader mission and values

  • Work closely with Marketing Intern to cross promote festival promo graphics, and post festival-specific content leading up to the festival

    Requirements: Must be familiar with all things Instagram, social media account management experience

Content Intern - Contributor

3 months + festival week (January to April) | 3-6 hours per week

*Location: Bay Area preferred but remote applications are allowed

  • Creation of original written content (both sponsored and non-sponsored) for the Women Sound Off website

    Requirements: Writing experience, knowledge of music and/or creative industries

    Preferences: Experience writing for other creative publications

Experience & Event Ops Volunteer

2 months (February to April) | 3-8 hours per week

*Location: Must be in the Bay Area

  • Works alongside Festival Operations Manager on end-to-end event planning and operations (venue and soundcheck logistics, security and safety needs, ticketing and front door management, press and videographer/photographer needs)

  • Works a minimum of 2 festival events and is a key part of set-up and break-down team

  • Works with Artist & Talent Relations team on event needs for event performers and influencers

    Requirements: Event ops/planning experience, availability the week of the 2019 festival (April 4-8, 2019)
