During this panel, we’ll chat with four incredible womxn who are actively injecting culture and art into tech & digital communities. We’ll discuss how to bridge these worlds, ways for creatives to enter the tech industry and dive into what tech equity really looks like.

Our flagship panel returns featuring womxn and non-binary individuals who are breaking ground across the music industry & shaking shit up. Soak up game from 5 speakers who are knocking down doors and finding new ways to market, deliver or manage music. Roadmapping Your Vision

Learn how to map out your ideas and create a game plan for getting from point A to point B. There’s incredible value in writing out what it actually takes to build your business or execute your idea. This workshop will challenge you and help you identify the necessary questions needed to build the framework of an idea. We’ll also work with you to organize your steps and set realistic goals.  

Finance 101: An Introduction to Raising Capital, Crowd-Funding & Sponsorships

Securing money for your business or projects can seem daunting but we’re here to fix that. Whether you’re looking to raise capital in rounds, grab community support for crowd-funding or pitch your project to sponsors, our finance 101 workshop will make the above less taboo.

Memes or Real Life: Understanding the World of Astrology

Confused every time a new moon comes around? Have no idea why your friends keep tagging you in zodiac sign memes? This workshop is a solution to help you better understand the world of astrology, your birth chart and how astrology plays a role in everyday life. 

How to Cultivate Your Audience Online and IRL

In partnership with Red Bull

Do you want to turn your online community into your IRL community? Nicole Buscemi (Community Content Specialist at Red Bull) will host a workshop about how to effectively utilize social platforms to engage and support your real-life network. Whether you’re engaging in community activities, drumming up advocacy for local issues, or expanding the reach of your independent business, come through and discover how to creatively improve your online strategy to create real-life connections.

OFFICE HOURS

For a $25 add-on fee, you can book a 1:1 session with our Sound Off Day mentors (to be announced). Slots are very limited & will fill up fast. Sessions are 20 minutes long.

Track 1: Entrepreneurship

Whether you’re an aspiring entrepreneur or currently running a small business, this track will focus on your business blockers. One of our mentors will provide you with on-the-spot feedback about how to get started or improve what you’ve already started.

Track 2: ‘INTRA’PRENEURSHIP

This track caters to those who are interested in moving up at their company and will focus on upward mobility, understanding when it’s time to leave a company, as well as navigating tricky employment situations.

Track 3: Creative & Freelancer

This track caters to creatives and freelancers who are looking for advice on their projects, gigs and more. Grab advice on invoicing, marketing your services and sustainability as a freelancer or creative contractor.

FOOD & BEVERAGES 

  • Light breakfast, coffee & kombucha will be provided

  • Food trucks will be on-site during lunch hours for you to replenish & fill up. Vegan & vegetarian options will be available. (PLEASE NOTE: Tickets DO NOT include lunch)

  • We’ll have free snacks on site.

  • You’ll be provided with water throughout the entire day.

STORAGE & CHARGING

  • We’ll have an easy storage system for you to place your belongings if you choose to.

  • There will be a coat check!

  • We’ll have a charger station if you need to charge your phone.

TRANSPORTATION & PARKING

  • The closest bart station is West Oakland station.

  • There is plenty of street parking in the area but we highly encourage ride-share or carpool!
